Things may have seemed sort of quiet the last couple weeks, but that's because we've been hard at work developing some new resources!
As a way to honor National Agriculture Week, we have just launched two virtual workshops!
Virtual Lambing & Kidding Workshop - from the new sheep/goat owner to the very experienced herdsman, this workshop focuses on the immediate pre-parturient period (immediately before lambing & kidding) through the immediate post-parturient period (immediately after lambing & kidding), with a big focus on identifying & correcting fetal malpresentations. This workshop includes an exclusive video walking you through how to correct most fetal malpresentations & use tools to help you during dystocia!
Introduction to School Farm Management Virtual Workshop - geared towards ag teachers, 4H & FFA advisors, but also suitable for beginning small producers, this workshop covers a variety of topics, including finding & incorporating a vet into your management team, species considerations & common diseases by species, zoonotic disease, biosecurity, appropriate medication use in livestock species, treatment protocols, standard operating procedures, recordkeeping, & other notes on nutrition, animal identification & health certificates, & necropsy!
We are so excited to launch these as virtual workshops, as they are always well received in person! We've got a few more in development, but we'd also love to hear any other topics you would find helpful!
Check them out!
